MY SERVICES

Details of my services are provided below, all of which are covered by up-to-date insurance. All sessions are one hour long, except for Nutrition advice, which lasts for 30 minutes. You can book sessions on an ad-hoc basis or block book sessions. For further information, prices and discounts please contact me.

PERSONAL TRAINING

A personal trainer should have up-to-date qualifications, be a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals (www.reps-uk.org) and have valid insurance.

Whether you are new to exercise or a fitness fanatic, a good personal trainer should be able to design a programme that is specific to you, that meets your goals and that is enjoyable. Hiring a personal trainer is a step in the right direction to helping you achieve your goals.

Through a series of health and fitness appraisals I can assess your fitness levels, design a programme for you and keep you motivated. Every 6-8 weeks we will re-do the tests to monitor your progress.

NUTRITION

Nutrition is a high profile subject. With levels of obesity rising, more and more people are beginning to follow healthy and sensible eating plans.

A healthy balanced diet coupled with exercise can help prevent diseases such as diabetes and heart disease, it can aid fat loss and stabilise blood sugar levels.

I can review what you eat and drink in a typical week and taking into account your likes, dislikes and lifestyle, I can recommend an ideal nutrition plan for you. I can advise on healthy alternatives and what to avoid as well as how much and how often you should eat and drink.

SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports massage is beneficial to anyone who participates in physical activity. It can increase your physical performance by maintaining healthy muscles, reducing muscle tension and promoting mental calmness, alertness and concentration.

Sports massage can assist the healing of damaged tissues following an injury but can also help to prevent injury. It can identify scar tissue and adhesions within the muscle and discover injuries caused by normal daily activities.

I will carry out a thorough examination to identify soft tissue dysfunction before treatment is carried out. This will include range of movement testing and palpation of structures. I will then massage and stretch the area and prescribe corrective exercises.
